Neuropathy is a common condition, partly because this term refers to so many conditions. About 2.4% of people globally have a form of peripheral neuropathy. Among people 45 and older, that percentage rises to 5%-7%.
Symptoms can range from numbness, tingling, electric pain, sharp jabs, balance issues and sensitivity.
With out advanced technology, neuropathy can be treated with non-invasive procedures. We offer a customized protocol for each of our patients.
There are several kinds of Peripheral Neuropathies and they can stem from a variety of causes ranging from carpal tunnel syndrome (entrapment), traumatic injury (such as motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall, or sports/work related accidents), restricted blood flow, deteriorating joints, pesticide exposure, to toxic levels of sugar in the blood (causing nerve damage linked to diabetes).

In your Neuropathy appointment you will get answers to the following questions:
✅ What is the underlying cause of the nerve damage?
✅ How severe is my condition?
✅ Are other conditions contributing?
✅ What types of nerves have damage?
✅ How much treatment do nerves require to heal?
The underlying cause is different for every patient and must be understood in order to help the nerves heal and get us back to a normal life.
Thorough testing is so critically important in helping patients suffering from Peripheral Neuropathy and we here at Raleigh Spine Clinic want to help as many people as we can.
Our goal is to get our patients back to doing the things they love with the people they love without drugs, needles or surgery and in as painless a way as possible.
Many of our patients who come in have already been told the narrative that there's nothing they can do about their condition. You are not alone!
Dr. Dalfino has 24+ years experience treating chronic conditions, that he wrote the book on it.

Too many patients are told that the way to deal with their neuropathy is to medicate. While this may help short term, the effects of waiting to resolve dead nerve cells results in permanent decay and pain often leading to amputation.
Many of our patients see a significant reduction in their pain symptoms.
